The International Road Federation is pleased to announce the winners for the IRF Student Essay Competition. The competition, open to member universities; gave students the opportunity to share their views on a variety of issues affecting road and highway related transported. Submissions were received on themes such as asset management; ITS; pavement materials; sustainability; and road safety.
The UK Centre for Animal Law (A-law) launches a student essay competition every November. The World Youth Essay Competition 2018 is an international competition for high school and university students. There is no topic restriction and you are free to write about topics such as aspects of society, environmental issues, science and technology, global affairs, and more. The essay has to be between one to eight pages in the English language. Participants may use pictures and graphics.
Our new Nature Writing competition is open to anyone over the age of 16. The deadline for all entries is 6 January 2013 and we will announce four prizewinners on our websites on 1 May 2013. All four prize-winning articles will be published either in the magazine or on our websites.
The essay demonstrates an awareness of modern political history, a capacity to reflect upon the subject matter with perception, and an ability to write with lucidity.
